"My friends got a 02 Acura RSX 5 speed and he pays like $ 600 and the auto has some engine mods. We're both 17 except he has a couple seats. I called 3 unique insurance providers and so they all cited me around $750 per month. The automobile in question was a 76 Chevrolet Camaro with an intelligent trans and 350ci v8 (although vin could possibly indicate a 267ci v8) why is the newer vehicle cheaper to insure? With a manual trans? Kids as of late dont enjoy the previous vehicles like I stick and do with Toyota and those are the types I basically see getting damaged. I wouldn't get full coverage to the previous car because if it were to damage i'd just get another since they are a penny twelve and aren't worth fixing it isn't a really rare car. I am aware that engine measurement could be one factor. The rsx it has a smaller engine and is light but the Camaro is a lot heavier using a greater engine. Would a z28 charge more? How about the Pontiac Firebird of the identical years? (70's to '81) it gives a similar setup.
